of new ways to see her photographs, letting her continue to find new meaning
and significance in her work. Since she began her photographic career,
Kawauchi's photographs controlled a unique aesthetic and mood, capturing
intimate, poetic, and beautiful moments of the world around her. Lastly,
the sublimity of her photographs is further enhanced by her use of soft colors
as well as her awareness of the beauty in even the most average moments.
I choose the Birds, Dark Blue, Crowd, Sky 2016 because I love birds and whenever I'm in a park or driving in the
parkway, I see lots of birds, which are very beautiful to see, and seeing them
can be relaxing to some people.
